Our Story

Eric Roorda is a history professor at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. His publications include The Dictator Next Door, the Historical Dictionary of the Dominican Republic, the Dominican Republic Reader, Twain at Sea, and the forthcoming Ocean Reader. He co-directs the Munson Institute for Maritime Studies at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, CT. He lectures at sea and on land, and enjoys cartooning, with select examples available on Daily Kos if you search for Speaks4Itself.

A E Dee Doyle teaches elementary kids, does web design and promotion, and helps out at the historic Shipyard at Mystic Seaport.
